Office cleanouts are different from residential jobs. The items are heavier (desks, cubicle panels, server racks), the volumes are larger, and there’s usually a lease deadline breathing down your neck.
🏢 What Needs to Go
A typical office cleanout includes some or all of:
- Furniture: Desks, cubicle panels, conference tables, office chairs, reception furniture, filing cabinets
- IT equipment: Old monitors, desktop towers, printers, copiers, phone systems, cable runs
- Paper & files: Filing cabinet contents, binders, old records (shred first if confidential)
- Break room: Refrigerators, microwaves, vending machines, tables
- Fixtures: Shelving, whiteboards, signage, display cases
💰 What Office Cleanouts Cost
Commercial jobs are quoted by volume, not by item. Rough ranges for Toledo-area offices:
- Small office (1–3 rooms): $300–$600
- Medium office (10–20 workstations): $800–$1,500
- Large office / full floor: $2,000–$4,000+
- Cubicle removal only: $50–$100 per station (disassembly included)
We quote after a walkthrough or from photos. No hourly billing — one flat price, everything included.
🖥️ IT Equipment: Don’t Trash It
Old computers and hard drives contain data. Before any cleanout:
- Wipe or destroy hard drives (DBAN or physical destruction)
- Remove company stickers and asset tags
- Working equipment can be donated (Computers for Learning in Toledo accepts business donations)
- E-waste must be disposed of properly — not in a dumpster
We separate e-waste from general junk during the cleanout and route it to certified recyclers.
⏰ Timing & Scheduling
Most office cleanouts need to happen on a specific timeline — lease ends Friday, new tenant moves in Monday. We work around your schedule:
- After-hours: We can work evenings and weekends so your staff isn’t displaced
- Phased cleanout: Clear one floor or section at a time as you consolidate
- Same-day emergency: Landlord sprung a deadline? We’ve done 24-hour turnarounds
♻️ What Gets Donated vs. Dumped
We try to divert usable furniture and equipment from the landfill. Working chairs, desks, and tables go to Habitat ReStore or local nonprofits. Broken or damaged items go to proper disposal or recycling.
If you need a donation receipt for tax purposes, let us know before the job — we’ll separate items and get the paperwork from the receiving organization.
